Hi

I'm really excited I've just discovered the name of my great x 2 grandmother. She was Christine Rosine Margarethe Mueller and she married my great x 2 grandfather Johann Georg Mohr on the 8th October 1840. This information came from a second cousin who found it amongst her late parents' papers.

Is there anyway I can get their marriage certificate? Their second daughter who emigrated to England gives her place of birth as Wurtlemburg and a later son gives his as Zweiflingen, so I presume the marriage would have taken place in that area. On my great grandmother's marriage certificate she says her father (Johann Georg Mohr) was a cooper.

How easy is it to find births in Germany - ie Christine and Johann? I don't speak any German  ;)

I've just found the marriage under his name and it gives his parents names  :D :D :D

Strange though as it doesn't give the marriage under her name, so at the moment I'm still searching for her parents.

It's a lot more than I thought I'd find, so thank you again.

I've now managed to find her parents and date of birth, so thank you very much for that link.

I've also found their marriage and names of their parents. Brilliant.  :D :D :D
