Firstly the information on a death certificate is only as good as the knowledge of the informant and is often inaccurate.

Nineteen years is certainly not too long a period over which a woman may bear children.

The dates you gave us for William 1882-1954 were not quite correct. They are c1877-1952.   The only Wm Vincent I can find on any records is for Wm Vincent b. 1916.

I have searched very thoroughly in NSW even using just the given names for William, Florence and son William.  Nothing.  There is no JACKSON/TUCKWELL marriage in NSW.  Of course they may not have been married in Australia and there is also the possibility that William was not born in Sydney.  Are you saying that William b. 1877 was also William Vincent?

Cheers

yes it was 1952 I just checked my printout from Toowoomba Cemetery his birthdate I got from his marriage cert.  I might purchase that Sydney Jackson birth cert and see if william is a sibling.   I have most certs as source and passenger lists and cemetery records.

I suppose you are aware you can purchase transcriptions of certificates in NSW...a cheaper and quicker option.  Saves a few dollars on purchasing a certified certificate.

It would appear that the date of birth for William is not the same on his marriage certificate as the burial record.  I wonder why his death registration on the Qld index and the burial record have only recorded him as William.  Was is full name on the death certificate?

You are so good at this.  I've been spending hours and getting nowhere.  Death cert only has William Jackson but father is William Henry. Thanks for tip on transcriptions  this is nearly half price I have been paying.  These are the things I need to know.

Hi Mj 53

You can request a PARTIAL Transcription if you are only seeking to learn one aspect of a record.

Hi again Mj 53
You will get the best results from the Rchat group if you give the most accurate and detailed information possible in the first place.

Sometimes it may seem tedious to type it out, but, in the long run, searchers will be saved the time-consuming business of seeking information in the wrong direction or which is already known.  It saves helpers from covering old ground all over again. :D

Certificate details are a case in point.

It is surprising how small things do matter in the overall picture.
