It then is not unbieviable that they are they same
 .  I can take my dog for a walk of 4 km.
So in that time it would be  maybe a party of their life to walk that far for work.

Hi just reading your posts on muckalee & Ballyfoyle.  I;m sure you probably pinpointed them by now -but if not most likely the births were registered in church in ballyfoyle which would be the parish as such. I only know this as my own ancestors came from muckalee & were baptized in ballyfoyle.  Also the rural townlands in co. kilkenny are very small ( and I mean small) - in some cases only a few kms. Townslands 'moved' between church parishes over the years also. a good is kilkenny geneology and also RotheHouse in kilkenny has extesnive records .
