Woods / Campbell
« on: Saturday 10 April 10 12:35 BST (UK) »
Has anybody got any Woods or Campbell connection in their 'tree'?
My 3x grandfather was called Allen Woods and his daughter Sarah (my 2x grandmother) married Joseph Campbell (my 2x grandfather) in 1860 at Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church.

Sarah had at least 3 sisters (Eliza, Catherine & Mary), but I don't know anything about Joseph's family except that his father was called William.

Does this information sound familiar with anyone? I have reached a brick wall

What was Sarah Woods' residence at the time of her marriage in 1860? and what was her father's occupation?
Griffith's Valuation os around this period byt no match for Allan/Allen Woods in Co. Tyrone-

Allen Woods was a farmer from Woodend, Co. Tyrone at the time of Sarah's marriage and William Campbell was a corn dealer from Ballymagorry at the time of the marriage.

Does his help in anyway?

Marriage records show the residences of bride and groom at the time of their marriage which may, or may not, be where their fathers lived.
Griffith's Valuation shows only 1 Woods in Woodend townland, Leckpatrick Parish (Poor Law Union is Dungannon which will most likely also be the name of the civil registration district): Mary Woods.
