James Bason Help
« on: Friday 09 April 10 16:42 BST (UK) »
I need some help finding James Bason. I have him recorded as born in 1773 Morden and died in 1844, in Wareham.

I have found all his children, but I cannot find any parents or connected relatives (Brothers, Sisters). I have used the OPC but nothing can tie the knot. Can someone please help/look up for me? Is anyone else searching the Bason line of Dorset?

Most grateful.

Sorry; muddled posts from you and someone else researching your line.

I'm interested to know how you know he was born in Morden in 1773.

Well a census from 1841 in Morden states his age as 69, so he must have been born in 1773. I can't find any birth records for him at all, so one can only assume his birth was in 1773-4.

Also a death record shows him buried in Wareham in 1845, aged 71.

don't forget ages in 1841 were rounded down to nearest 5 years!
