Yes John,

Emma was a widow on 1891 census but was together with James in 1881.

It would be really great if i could find any of James and Emma descendant as they may possible know what happen but have not found any as yet.

I believe that James and Emma's daughter Emma Emery dob 1870 migrated to Australia after she married a Henry sharman. perhap i should turn my focus on that

I had been stuck on James for so long I packed all my family tree stuff away out of frustration

thanks for your help
kind regards Jane

Hi Merlin,

I apologise. I had know idea where you got the Austrialia from in my question, in your first reply. I am a newby to the site I didn't realise untill i logged out and in again that Austrialia  showed on the post.

I didn't place that in, it must default to where you live.

I will look next time I log a post  and try to get it right.. he he

Regards Jane
