It would have been around 1875-80 in Ayr.

Hi Angela. I think I have just found Robert Robertson still alive in 1861 as he is listed at 35 Bonnygate as a jeweller and inspector of weights and measures. He would be about 68 years old at this stage. His son Robert [jeweller]was already here in Australia by this stage. Pam

That great i coudnt find him in the 1851 so will look again for you.if its deffinatly him in the 1861 i should be able to get his death cert so i will check it out on tuesday for you i havent been able to get to the libary yet will get sometime next week will let you know what i find.

              I have discovered that Robert Robertson died 14th May 1877. I still would like to find his wife, Jessie Isabella Robertsons death if it is possible.

Do you have the death certificate of robert does it list if he was still married or a widower when he died let me know and it will help narrow down the search i will be leaving in the next few hours to go to lds so hopefully will find something for you today.

  Hi Angela, sory to bother you again. Would it be possible to see if Robert Robertson born around 1756 is mentioned in old parish records if you get time? He was a tinsmith and married to Clementina Stewart. Don`t worry if you are too busy. Cheers Pam.
