Angela, Thank you so much for your reply.  I do not have the census details, and would very much appreciate the info.  Thanks again for your kind offer, and I'll look forward to hearing further at your convenience.

Angela,
It helps immensely - thank you!  I would appreciate film and page numbers, but there is no rush for that.  What you have provided already is more than I could have hoped for.  Thanks so much!

Hi Fifer,
Do the Scottish Birth Marriage and Death indexes at the LDS Centre have a search facility the way they do on Scotlandspeople?

IF they do & you have the time I'd appreciate any references to the surname Kreglin.
I have already got the years that you can search online, so I have the deaths of Elise 1924, Katherina 1935, Clara 1943, Ernest Charles Christopher 1953.
I also have the marriage of Olive Tina Rubin Kreglin to Donald Orr in 1928.
The information I have so far has been registered in either Greenock or Glasgow.

So it's basically any marriages after 1928  or births after 1903.
(The son's might have had children, tho I haven't found marriages for them)

The family were still in London til at least 1914 so I already have the census info.

Is what I'm requesting possible? I certainly don't want, or expect something that will take up hours of your time.

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris

the index;s are just an index i wouldnt be able to do lookups for the bride or groom depending on if it was a male or female for example as i would need the name .

as the index's will be upto 1955 it would take to long to search ias im waiting on films comming in at the moment to search through i would not have the time at the moment .But if you are willing to wait it may be a few months i would be able to maybe search through a couple at a time and give you the results.

Thanks Fifer,
I'm more than happy to wait, IF you have the time/inclination to search.
Both the Kreglin boys were much older than their sister, (Ernest Gordon born 1888, Herbert Charles 1898) so I very much doubt that there would be a marriage to find.
So it would be just births from the Orr - Kreglin marriage so after 1928, providing of course the index lists the mother's maiden name.

I fully understand if it's too difficult/time consuming to do.

Thanks
Chris  :)

Hello Fifer,
I wondered if you could please look up 1841 census for Lanarkshire,  I guess it would be Glasgow.
I'm looking for an Elizabeth McDougall (widow) with three children.  Duncan born 1836, Elizabeth born 1838 and Archibald born 1840.  Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards
Liz
