Hello;
If you have the time, I would be very grateful if you could find a marriage for George Brunston Robertson. He was born in Cupar Fife. The marriage would be in the late 1850`s early 1860`s.
Georges father Robert Robertson is listed as a jeweller [Cupar] Would there be any record of Him [1820`s onward] Thank you. Pam  ;D ;D

Hi Robert
I had a look for you but couldnt find them im afraid but there is over 20 books in all on the carlton film i didnt have time to check the 1851 if you want to wait i will have a look at that next week for you.

Angela :)

:o 20 books. Thanks for having a look anyway. I didn't realise how deep it would be buried- I'll give that a body swerve too then. I appreciate the offer to look next week at the 1851 census but please only do this if you have some spare time and give other look ups the priority. I'm far from 100% sure they will be there and may have emigrated by that time so it would be a shame to waste your resources looking for something that probably isn't there.

Thanks again.
Looking for Hugh Marr and Mary Drummond.

Hi there Fifer,
Is It possible for you to do a 1851 Census lookup for me?

I'm searching for a James Hendry, DOB according to 1871 census 1825 in Ireland, whereabouts, not noted, so can't trace his Birth Cert for sure.

I Know he was in the Old Monkland, Coatbridge area in 1858, as I have his sons Birth Cert for then, on another sons Birth Cert it gives his Marriage to Susan Clark nee Pollock as 1852, Girvan or St Quivox, Ayr (the text is blurred), and on a Daughter's Birth Cert, it states her, as being Born in  Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

So Fifer... if you could do a lookup for me in the Girvan, St Quivox, Kilmarnock areas of Ayrshire, I'd be very grateful.

Thx
Jim.Hendry.  :)

Hi Jim
I had a look for you but the Girven Film was a really bad copy and if they were there they must have been in the bad parts its was unreadable in places didnt have time to search the st quivox yet i will check that next week for you.

IF you're still doing lookups, could you check the 1851 census for Elizabeth Simpson in Edinburgh?
Birthplace South Ronaldsay, Orkney.
age from 20 to 28

(I have different birthyears for her - 1823 & 1828, and a christening in 1837)

She has to be in Edinburgh because she had a baby born in Edinburgh in 1852, although she didnt get married until 1856.

The only clue I have to the possible location is where they were in 1856

Castle and Portsburgh Edinburgh
Family Lived 5 Milner Court Edinburgh

Oh and Elizabeth  hopefully is residing with a man named Thomas  Fairbairn or possibly Freebairn whom she later married.  If not, I'd like to know who she is living with.

I hope this enough info.

Thanks
