Hi

I'm wondering if you would be able to look for LIVINGSTONE the next time you go.  My 4th grt-grandfather JOHN LIVINGSTONE (b. 1833) married CRAWFORD SPENCER (b. 1833) 31 Dec 1851 in Glasgow.  Unfortunately I have not yet uncovered the names of John's parents and wonder if you have access to any sources that may help locate them.

Thanks
Wendy

hi Fifer

When you have the time could you look for the following family in the 1841 and 1861 census. The following information was given to me as being from the 1851 census. All I really know about this family is that they were in Inverness and that there should be a Peter or Patrick born approx 1829. I have been told that it was in the Parish of Moy and Dalarossie, Knockandroo Village or Hamlet if that is of any help.

 NAME      HOUSEHOLD    AGE      BORN          PROFESSION

John Grant      Head      50 yrs     Elgin Buthil           Blacksmith
Elizabeth      Wife      45 yrs     Moy & Delarossie
John         Son      20 yrs      Moy & Delarossie       Blacksmith
Janet         Daughter   17 yrs     Moy & Delarossie        Scholar
Donald         Son      13 Yrs     Moy & Delarossie        Scholar
Eliza         Daughter   4 yrs     Moy & Delarossie
Donald        Grandson   1 yr     Moy & Delarossie

Hi Fifer!

I am looking for the Parker family in the 1841/1851 Lanarkshire Census.
Barony, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.

Archibald Parker
Wife Agnes (nee Andrew) Parker
Children Jean (b. 1832) and Archibald Jr. (born 1834).  An older daughter Agnes died in 1838.

Archibald and Agnes were probably born around 1810 in Barony as they married in November 1828.

These names come from a bible in our family.  I am at an impasse in finding the next generation to link with my Yuill/Kennedy g-g grandparents as the surnames Andrew and Parker are not in my recent tree.  I am guessing a maternal line though the Kennedy family rather than the Yuills.  I am hoping the Census will help me with the ages and place of birth of the parents.

Thanks a bunch- Nutkin
George William Burke.. my missing link!! son of Wm Burke & Mary Jane Stone/Morris

Hi Fifer.

Many thanks for the WEBSTER 1871 census info.  The eldest daughter is Louisa.  Great that Matilda is on there.  Was the Scottish census for 1871 taken on 2nd April like England?

If you do get a chance (I know you've had a lot of requests) could you possibly look on 1861 census for William Webster?  He married in 1864 so I am hoping he will be with his family.  His father was called James and his mother Elizabeth (I think!)

Elrick

between 1865 and 1869 I know that the ELRICKS i'm looking for where living at 35 Jack's Brae Aberdeen.
between1861 - 1863 they were at 1 Upper Leadride (?) Gilermaton (?), Aberdeen and before that 14 or 16 Jack's Brae and Gerrard Street.
Peters / Breden / Breeds / Evans + more, Garner / Ensbury / Beaver / Burgess + more, Elrick / Giles / Salmon / Parsons + more, Lucas / Webster / Austin / Chopping + more
