Hi

Checked with a friend, there is a church with a graveyard in St Mellons aptly called St Mellons Parish Church:St Mellons Vicarage, Church Lane, St Mellons, Cardiff. CF3 5UP 029 2079 6560 - this is very close to Rumney, there is also another church in St Augustines, in Church Road, Rumney Cardiff CF3 3BA

Hope this is of help

you visited the new record office which is in the process of being digitalized hence the reason why you have to request everything - in the old office (which I preferred) you could go and look through all the books yourself.  In time I think you will be able to go to Glam record office and look at all the records via computer.

Hi EAC

Many thanks for the info on St Mellons graveyard, I will certainly give them a call  :)

As for the new records office, yes I am sure things will improve but I would miss 'ye olde' fiche reader (many happy hours spent on those things!).
