Any help at all in the geneology behind the Sherval surname would be appreciated, where it was first used, when etc. We are speculating that it may have french origions, possibly the horse keepers in a noble stable? We find it in our family tree, my great, great(?) grandmother Mabel Helen Higgs(Sherval), unfortunately no date is listed.
