Miss Powell, the Head Worker, to Spend Two Months Abroad — Many Volunteer Workers This Year.
The Social Service League clubhouse in West State Street has been closed and the work of the league practically suspended for two months, during which time Miss Ada Powell, the head worker, will take a vacation abroad. She is making arrangements to sail for Europe on Saturday.
Miss Powell stated today that she is very grateful for the support that she has received during the last year from friends of the league, which has contributed largely to the success that has been achieved etc etc
