Regina was a Yorta Yorta Woman, I am one of many of her proud Yorta Yorta great grand daughters.  I would love to hear from others in her kinship

Hi Lilmaree
I would love to talk with you about our family.

Hi Lilmaree,
I have just discovered that Regina (bessie) was my great great grandmother, her son Myron Butler was my nans (Joan) father. Do you have any information on her being Yorta Yorta, I have always thought that we had aboriginal in our family blood line but never knew it was so close, my grand mother use to deny that we had any indigenous roots, I wonder if she was ashamed of it. she passed in 2018 so I can not ask her. and Wow what a huge family we must have out there.

Hi Robyn. I'm Gail Franklin's daughter.
I've started doing the family tree and I'm stuck when it comes to Mary Anne Brownlee. Do you have information on her? Like where and when she was born? Majority of things Ive found state that she is part aboriginal

Hi all, I’m married to a Bessie’s great great great grandson.
I was wondering if anyone had any paperwork proof of Lillis statement to Bessie being a yorta yorta woman?

We have lots of family in Albury with aboriginal heritage and some more whiter looking for proof of their heritage.
Thank you

Hi Franklin, what have you found for aboriginal heritage please?
Some of my husbands cousins are proven aboriginal heritage by birth.
But the whiter ones in the family have lack thereof proof although they’re all related.
My mother in law stated it’s from Bessie’s bloodline but struggling to find proof thank you

Mary was born in India and part Indian.
