Hi,
William Broxholme b.1771  was my 4th great grandfather. Mary Ann Broxholme b.26 Sept.,1855(married Hickson) was my great grand mother.... Mary's daughter Lilian who married a Moore, was my grandmother.
I  have photos of Mary Ann, brother Edwin b.1858 and sister Alice b.1868......if you're interested, have you any pics to exchange?
Rgds, Mike.

To the person who is the great grand child of Elvin Broxam. I will like to get in contact with you as I am also the a great grand child of Elvin. Who is you grand parent. Mine was Nellie Broxam (Hughes) His oldest child. Don't want to to get confused with the other Nellie Broxam (Kelly). Let me know if you want to contact me and we can work on the tree together. Did you know there is a family member who has done some research already. Elvin grand son.

Lynette

Broxholm(e) 'became' Broxham or Broxam and sometimes reverted back again.  During my research I've experienced this several times back to the early 1700's.  It seems to be an error contributed by the way the name sounded; or lack of literacy from the family members or even some of the clergy who effected the entries.

It's not an error - it's something that wasn't seen to matter.

Of the six surviving signatures of the man we know of as William SHAKESPEARE, all of them are different and none of them use the spelling SHAKESPEARE.  :D
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

I quite agree..  so that's another reason. Unfortunately, 300 years later these things matter in our research for us to be able to establish all possible proof of each individual fact.
Apologies for diverting from 'Broxholmes' but even today the recording of many tree details are just copied without care and with no proof - many of which I know to be wrong and will eventually mislead for generations to come.
I think it's sad.

Hello, I too am a descendant, but my tree branch is from Edwins brother, Harry b. Mar. 1865 in Wragby to William BROXHOLME and Martha nee Dunwell. Harry immigrated in 1866 to the United States and sometime before or after was John Dunwell, Jesse, James E. father William and mother Martha, all spelling then was/is BROXHAM. I have been in contact with a descendant of Edwin's named Sam. Please contact me for further exchange of info.
