There is a different Charles to the one born in Anglesea.

1901 RG13/81/49/39

Charles Hy. Lumley, mar, 34, Builder, b. London, Midsx. (mistrans. Lumbley, occ. Patient).

Haven't found him in 1891 but same chap in 1881 and 1871:-

RG11/204/64/37
Henry. T. Lumley, H, Mar, 48, Builder, b. St Pancras.
Maria, wife, 48, b. St Pancras.
Charles H. , son, 14, b. St Pancras.

RG10/229/42/78
Henry T. Lumley, 37, Carpenter.
Mary A. 37.
Charles, 4.

In 1881 & 71 there are other siblings.

Well, Ladies & Gentlemen, what can I say !

Thank you all so much for such a quick flood of information.  Apart from the Henry T Lumley, everything seems to fit with the info I have, with g.g.grandfather Robert having moved about quite a bit (Brighton-Anglesey-London).

Understand the comment about the difficulty of researching in Ireland, as most of my paternal Grandparent's line eminate from there.

Apologies for not having replied sooner to your first reply Pauline, but my computer crashed jut after I posted my original message, and I was away all day yesterday !
