Having found that one of the witnesses to my gt gt gt grandparent's marriage. James Heath to Elizabeth Flint, in 1832 at St Paul's Shadwell, London was a "Truth Scholey", the above post came up when I did a search on the name, it being rather unusual.
Truth was a schoolmaster in Shadwell and was married at least twice first to Elizabeth then Susannah. He appears numerous times as a witness to marriages at St Paul's over quite a long period and Probate of his will shows that he had been the Parish Clerk
