Mary Ann Simpson born 2 June, 1856
« on: Wednesday 31 March 10 23:57 BST (UK) »
Mary married William Thomas Taylor on 8 June, 1880 at Charlemont Church of Irleand, Parish Loughgall. Her address on the record says Aghinlig. On the record it says her father was John Simpson, no mothers name, and that he was a farmer. Mary was a School Teacher (she also taught music).

I just found out this info but now can't find birth records for either mary or William...and would like to find the mother's name both for Mary and William. William's father was Robert Taylor and both he and William were Land bailiff's...I know William was for Lord Charlemont. William's birth was 21 July, 1855.

Thanks
Karen

Registration of births started in 1864 so you'd need church records (if they exist) to find faily details- baptismal record might list only mother's  Christian name or perhaps not list mother's name at all.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi there

On Armagh Ancestry Online Website there is a Church Baptism for Mary Ann Simpson 1856. To view full record cost 5 Euro's.

Also There is The Marrriage of Mary & William 1880 on their too - again would be 5 Euro's to view full record.

Regards

Sue :)
