Hello folks
I was wondering if anybody could do a couple of baptism lookups for me:
1. George HARVEY.
George was born, as far as I know, in or very close to Wycombe, some time between 1835 and 1842. On 27 September 1858, he married an Elizabeth Austin at Holy Trinity, Hazlemere. The marriage certificate gives no father's name, implying he was illegitimate. A George Harvey appears on the 1851 census aged about 13, living with his grandmother. There is also a Susan Harvey living there, who may be his mother. Would anyone be able to look at the baptism records and see what (if anything) it says?
2. Edward LUNNON.
Based on the 1851 census, on which the person I assume is my Edward appears, he was born in about 1837 in Cores End. On this census he is living with an Elizabeth Lunnon, but no father is present. This contrasts with Edward's marriage certificate of 16 September 1868, which states his father as being either Abram, Aaron or Anson Lunnon (the registrar's handwriting is so bad that even the GRO indexes from the time record Edward's surname as "Lumm"). I've looked in the baptismal records for Hedsor and the surrounding parishes, but not found him. I'm not expecting anybody else to be able to find him either, but he's got to be there somewhere, so I have to ask.
Any help with these two would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Martin
