Wilcoxon,
I haven't used Kelly's Directories before and wonder if there is one for Cheshire between 1932 and 1938.
I am looking for a needle in a haystack!
Herbert Price was a PC and from Oct 1925 was stationed at Christleton. He retired in July 1935 and according to his daughter's marriage cert, in 1941, he was deceased and a retired licensed victualler. He was deceased having died in Oct 1938.
I would love to find out which pub and think it could have been in Chester where he was a PC or Crewe where he was buried.
Does anyone know of books about pubs in those areas in the 1930s? I have googled but with not much luck,
Thanks for your time,
Abiam2
