hi anton.
thank you for message i hope you and the family had a nice reunion, we had one before christmas as my cousin and his wife came over from new zealand to see us, he emigrated about 40 years ago and married a girl there we had a loverly time. i will get my book out this weekend and give you details, about mary and james,and family,here is some i have now,
 mary ann winchester b.1830 elgin, morayshire scotland. married james rhind in elgin.
mary passed away ages 78, in papakura, on 28th november 1908.
i will get my book and all the information i have of them i will let you have. if you get chance you can go to the papakura museum auckland, i found them helpfull. the homestead they built called
rosebrae is still there and things from the house where donated to the museum.

Hello everyone,
this year it is 150 years since the arrival of Michael and Mary Cronin - from Ireland, via South Africa,to New Zealand.  Some of my relatives are mentioned in these posts.
A few of us descendents would like to organise a reunion at Labour weekend.
Would love to hear from any other relatives.

Hi Anton,
My brother and I have been working on the Cronin family tree for some years now. Our grandfather William Henry Cronin was the youngest son of Michael and Mary.
Micheal and Mary arrived in NZ in October 1864 on the Steinwerder.. That information came by sifting through ship arrivals .
 Trish Gapes ( nee Cronin), now living in Katikati.
