Thanks Trish, I note that I'm not the only one who cannot sleep...........  :-\

I wasn't aware of the 3 postings to activate the personal messaging system (you can tell that I haven't yet read the instructions), but only one more to go and then I'll be able to message saltandpepper direct.  So, thanks for that also.

It looks as though he is around, as he posted a topic last evening.

Although I've been scrambling up and down my family tree for almost 12 years, I've only just discovered Rootschat - don't know how that has happened.  Now I'm here and I've had a look around I'm feeling quite optimistic, so no doubt I'll be popping in and out from time to time  :)

I'm well awake as its 1.25pm here in Australia!
Mind you I am often on here at 3.00am also, depending on the Shifts I work.

Hi Trish - oops!  How easy is it to make an assumption  :-[ 

I expect that the sun is shining over there, in contrast to wind, rain, and snow here just now.
 
After a lifetime of shift work I don't seem to have a body clock, plus I've always had a tendency to be nocturnal anyway.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I will have to switch my computer off now and try to get some sleep, as I have to start work in a few hours.  No doubt we'll 'speak' again in due course....

We "Nocturnals" just give up trying to be like the rest of the world and work the night shift (25 years 11p-7am)
