Duck,
- so we now know that Michael Swarbrick played for PNE, possibly lived at 181, Skeffington Road, Preston in 1910
181 Skeffington Road is very close to the ground (200yards), I've just been to have a look, at that time it was the road that led to the east side of the ground
I've just been to Preston Library, in the 1910 Barretts Directory of Preston, R. Swarbrick, Weaver, is listed as head of household for 181 Skeffington Road
There is no mention of a Michael Swarbrick in the Preston Roll of Honour for WW1
Now this is where the plot thickens, I am led to believe that a Michael Swarbrick played one match for PNE in the 1918 - 1919 Principle Tournament - Lancashire Section. Throughout the war an A. Swarbrick also played for the club
I am now waiting for details of the 1918 - 1919 match
