He was my Dad's uncle in law! Anyway, he thought highly of my Dad's skills and got him trials with 'you know who'

Can someone please have a look at the above link and tell me what the status of  the Glynn Jones in this newspaper article is as a footballer?
 Is it a newpaper beat up?

Reason I ask is that one of  my brothers was the pilot of that Lancaster and this is the first I've ever heard of all this.

Any advice, comments, very welcome and hope it isn't out of your frame of reference.

My book only goes to 1939.

There is one Glyn Jones in it:

Born 1916, South Wales and played for Cardiff City, 1834-35

Simon might have later info.
