Grant/Templeton

I am looking for any information on William Grant and his wife Jane (nee Templeton). I think they were married around 1861 and had a son David Ferguson Grant, 1878. They also had another son, William - possibly the first born - date unknown. I believe that William Junior became a MP in the Nothern Ireland Government - 1920 or there abouts.
Thanks

Hello,
I'm researching my ancester Esther Templeton and her parents James and Jane Templeton (nee Hodgens/other variations) who were in Shankhill/Carnmoney, and have come to a brick wall. Did your Jane Templeton hail from that area at all?
cheers

Thanks Christopher, I will have to try and find out when he was born and trace back from there.

Thank you rsandes,
I have aslo hit a wall with Jane Templeton. There appears to have been quite a few(

) and I am unable to make any real connections. Good luck with your research.

I think there is more information about William on a site somewhere on the net. I am having problems finding the site (I may have a note of it's name somewhere) as I have forgotten the name of the site. It gives short biographical details of all the members of the Northern Ireland House of Commons since the State of Northern Ireland was founded until the closure of the Assembly.

Some more info about William is contained in this URL
Rt Hon William Grant was MP for Belfast North 1921 - 9
and for Belfast Duncairn 1929 - 16th August 1949
It did not take too long -

I'm sorry it did not show the date and month of birth. At least the year is better than nothing.
Born 1877 - Died on 15th August 1949
