Hi

Do you have a copy of his marriage cert showing his fathers name

Marriages September qtr 1847

Hannah Tolhurst
William Webb    Romney Marsh  5 525

1851 shows him b 1821 Ivychurch

So we don't duplicate any info do you already have him on all available censuses?

Well there were certainly "BOLDENs" in the area ie. (using the soundex search for William BOULDEN) a William married an Elizabeh CRISFORD in Cranbrook 1816 plus a William marrying in Maidstone 1819 and Newchurch 1824 amongst others.  Have you looked at http://www.familysearch.org ???

Who were the witnesses to William's marriage .............. are there any clues there?  Is there an occupation for William BOLDEN.  Where did William and Hannah marry and where did they live?

There is a William Bolden b 1793 Aldington s/Charles B & Elizabeth Young.

If you go to Kent Genealogy and then Kent Families you will find a lot of info on the Boldens/Bouldings of this area
