If it's possible I am after a look up for the father and grandfather of James Mallet born abt 1548 Grouville Channel Islands. James married Jaquette Romeril abt 1562 at Grouville. Jaquette was born abt 1548. Any help would be greatly received.

Hi Lisa

Thank you for your reply regarding HELLEUR and AMY family.  Im new to this site and its a little confusing to use as in being able to reply etc.

My Dad will be the best one to ask in regards to the AMY family.  He is very keen to touch base with information.  You can email us on helleur@gmail.com or tonihelleur@hotmail.com.

Be great to hear from you!

Cheers Toni

Hi Lisa

Are you sure of the dates? The reason why I ask is that Grouville Church records didn't start until 1584. Having spoken to the Societe Librarian, she like me, is interested as to where you got the dates from (IGI?).

As an aside, they have lodged with them a large Mallett of Grouville family tree which goes back to the 1600's and from which I can give you details if there is a connection.

Hello Stewart thanks for your reply.
The dates are a bit of a guess and I know are very wrong in most cases. I am still working on this Mallet family tree. I have so far Elizabeth Mallet who married John Amy, Elizabeth born 1665 I then have:
Phillipe Mallet + Marguerite Galie (Parents)
Phillipe Mallet + Elizabeth Legros (Grandparents)
John Mallet + Michelle Amy (Great Grandparents)
James Mallet + Jaquette Romeril (Grt Grt Grandparents)

I am now trying to find the father of James so that I can join the tree to the main branch of the Mallet family of Grouville. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi Stewart
Did you manage to trace the Mallet family tree for Grouville that you mentioned?

Hi Lisa

It looks as though Jacque Mallet was from St Martin and Jacquette Romeril from Trinity.

Can you send me a PM with your email address in please so that I can send you further information?
