Births, marriages and deaths Killoren family

GGgrandfather was Hugh Killoren - looking for his birth and marriage and if he had brothers/sisters.

The information that I have(from death certificate in US) says he was from Manchester b abt 1835.  He married Margaret O'Mara.  Parents are Hugh and Bridget(Maxwell)Killoren.

Curious about his family.

I think Allan was just pointing out a birth registration of someone who may be related - your Hugh's namesake so to speak. 

I had a look on the 1851 and 1841 census but could not see Hugh, not with parents Hugh and Bridget anyway.  So no luck finding any siblings on the census.

I found a possible in 1851 but I am not sure it is him.

Did you search just for Sheffield or the whole census?? I now he was born in Manchester abt 1835 to Hugh and Bridget.  Have no idea if they stayed in Manchester.  Someone found his marriage in Sheffield in 1858.  In the US we have 'Archives' that you can search by name or name and town/city.  Is there anything like that for England?

Hi,

Don't know if there is a link but my manager is leaving and we as a gift have decided to do some of this family tree for him to get him started after his retirement.  We have found a Thomas Killoran born 1823 in Hull, Yorkshire with the parents names of Hugh Killoran and Bridget Maxwell.  It looks as though Thomas Killoran joined the army in 1840, but there is no mention on any census of parents being around.

My Hugh's first son was Thomas b 1863 Sheffield, England
