Hello, I have been reading with great interest all your questions and answers.            May I ask if Lolly 2881(or anyone really) can help me please.  I cannot travel due to a spinal injury so I am relying on good people such as yourself who seem to be a bit of an oracle of knowledge. I am trying to find information on the following ........   Rev.John CAMPBELL,curate of Aston Tirrold,between about 1811-ish and 1832-ish. His wife was Mary Hackett and their children that I know were born in Aston Tirrold  were ..... 1. William Knight Campbell,b.1817; Robert murray Campbell,b.1819; Henry Elmes Campbell,b.1822; Catherine Hackett Campbell,b.1823;Thomas Campbell,b.1826 and George Knight Campbell,b.1831.   There was another child born John Campbell,but I do not know where or when?      Whilst I know of the later lives of most of these ancestors I know nothing of John and  Thomas Campbell,at all.     It MAY be that John (jr) is older than the other children.   Can you help please.Very best regards.

Hi Lorraine, thank you so much for the quick reply. I can not find  them on the 1841 Census,anywhere.Rev.John and Mary went to Bloxham/Adderbury in 1832.Mary dies there,March 16th 1833 at 41 YRS..               He remarries in 1836 to an Anne Borton.    Anne is then found on the 1841 Census visiting her family(Bortons) in Bloxham at the age of 40.  I could not find Rev.John C.  on the 1841 Census,but found him Pigots 1842 and 1844,still at Bloxham.   To go to the children .... I did find "A" William Campbell with Catherine and a Henry on the 1841 at Lenton,Notts.    If it is them that is? The men are down as Clerks which may well be right as they became solicitors. We then find Rev.John  with Anne his wife, at Cowbit,Lincs. and her  brother and sister in law,William and Sarah Borton(nee Marlin). Now George Knight Campbell is catered for as Vicar in Lincs also William Knight C. ; Henry Elmes C.; Robert Murray C. and Catherine Hackett C.   B I G   B U T    I cannot find any details of  John C. (JR) nor of Thomas Campbell. Nor can I find any one of them in early years i.e.bet 1811  and  1851.   So  H  E  L  P   PLEEEEEESE !!    Sorry if too long an explanation but you should know what I have already, so you can help me.            David.

I have searched the entire 1841 census for Bloxham town and have come up with nothing, Ann seems to be the only Campbell in town.

Im really am having trouble with this, I will keep looking, but maybe someone else might know bit more.

Me again,   Ann Campbell is found on the 1841 Census. Birth date about 1801,Bloxham,Oxfordshire. Source information HO 107/875/6.Registration district Banbury. Other ref's  ... Folio 7;Line 14; G.S.U. number 474572.    Much of these ref's do not mean anything to me but may be to you ?   David.

Hi. Just read Shuftys post that he knows about the Campbells. I am looking into William Knight Campbell's life. I know he was born 1817, Married Ann Horn in 1848 and died in Liverpool in1868. He was a solicister and had at least one child called William. Any futher information would be helpful.

Hello Red Rum,          William Knight Campbell,1817-1868,the solicitor/barrister,was my Gt.Gt.Grandfather.He was born Aston Tirrold,Berks. along with his sister Catherine  and his brothers Henry,Robert and Thomas.He did have another brother John,but I cannot find out anything on him. He (William) ended up in Liverpool,with offices in Castle Street and Vernon Chambers,Vernon Street.  You may well know all this so if you do, my apologies. Would you be so kind as to let me know any info. you are aware of please.We can compare notes and it sounds as if we may be related if you are also researching William.
