Hi gemma o

    ... and welcome.   :)

This looks to be the death of Mary Ann RHIND.  (There was no listing for a "Mary Ann").

1908 - RHIND - Mary - 78 years - (born abt. 1830)

Date of death :   28 November 1908

The Papakura District Council appear to hold cemetery records for that area  ... but if not, they'll be able to point you in the right direction.   You can find an email contact at the following link.

Yes they do and if you ask them, they might include the cemetery layout of Mary Ann's resting place.

The NZSG branch of Papakura, have transcriptions of the burials, this helps when headstones are hard to read,  if  you aren't in NZ and would like a photo of the headstone, let me know and I will take one, but won't be able to do it for a couple of weeks though.

Cheers
KHP :)

Hi Gemma,

I have just looked on my cemetery plan of the plots, and I can see two "Rhinds", unfortunately no christian names have been written on the page.    Most likely these are yours.

Added:  Apologies, I was ahead of myself when I said the "Transcription of Burials" I should have said "Transcription of Headstones"

They came over on the VIOLA in 1865.

James RHIND, very well known, his house on Redhills just sold a few months back.

Very big family
