Could you tell us where you find that the family moved to Cumberland because the only James Fry that I can find on any of the censuses b. Somerset is the one Carole had mentioned - born Trull (Dec q, 1861). In all of the subsequent censuses he is shown as born Trull - married to a Mary and eldest son a Henry J Fry on the 1901 ( RG13/2275/8/7 )
The only James Fry in Cumberland that 1 can find born circa 1861 was born in
Westmorland.He also was married to a Mary and was a
gardener.
The Trull James remained in Somerset.
