Hi

Finally tracked the grave down it was Agecroft and I had the wrong year it was  1975 not 77 as I remembered!! Well it turns out I was only 5 after all!!
Hmmm and they said headstones are allowed so think someone fibbed about not buying a headsto ne ha!! Well at least its never to late if one of us wins the Lotto

Thanks for the help and advice.....now just got to work out how we prove our claim on the grave just as well mother still alive she isthe  only (and eldest)  surviving  next of kin!

Contact the cemetery again.  Their records will show who actually bought the plot originally.

Did they confirm it was a multiple plot?

In order to re-use this grave you or your mother would have to prove you legal right to use it.  Any local undertakers could advise you on this, they obviously have to arrange this sort of this regularly.

Hi

My Gran origionally bought the plot, mum had to prove she was next of kin to bury her there, I assume this will be the case for my eldest sister?
