SOUTHEAST ASIA - death
« on: Thursday 11 March 10 14:48 GMT (UK) »
My greatgrandfather was born in Scotland but lived in Bangkok, Thailand (then Siam) in the early 1900's.  While his wife was back in the UK, visiting their children, she received word that he had died.  This would have been some time between 1910 and 1918, I believe.  It is unclear whether he died in Thailand or in another country, perhaps Malaysia or Indonesia.

Any suggestions how I might narrow down my search?  I am currently searching the GRO overseas indices, without success.  I have found only my grandfather's birth, in Bangkok, in the Consular indices.

My grandfather's name was George Reid, although he may have been using the name George Kennedy Reid or even George Kennedy-Reid.

It's been many years since I've worked on my family history.  I can't seem to access this obituary any longer.  Any suggestions?
