I found the baptisms of 5 children born to Henry and Elizabeth Upton in the Markfield PRs: Elizabeth (1716, d 1718), Henry (b +d 1721), Mary (?date), Thomas (1724), Elizabeth (1725). I haven't found a marraige for this couple and I haven't found a baptism of a son John.

Henry's will is as follows:
Henry Upton of Markfield, FWK
the house he lives in and the garden and his stocking frame to his son JOHN
20/- each to his sons Thomas and William
£10 each to his daughters Mary Wildman and Elizabeth Bennt(?)
20/- each to all the children of his son JOHN and also to all the children of his daughter Elizabeth Bennt
40/-, his black coat and waistcoat to his grandson William Upton
20/- each to Elizabeth Upton "as was",  to his granddaughter Mary Upton, and to his granddaughter Sarah Upton "as was", all daughters of his son Thomas
20/- to his grandson Thomas Wildman

Executor John Wildman of Markfield
signed 9 March 1779
Executor sworn on 10.5.1781

OK, this does not prove that the centenarian John Upton who was from Markfield, married in Desford and died there in 1811 was the same John as mentioned here. But does anyone have any proof that that John belonged to the Woodhouse family?

Just a thought - could John have been a son of Henry by a first wife?  Have you looked at earlier marriages?
