I wonder if 6 was mistaken for 0 when the register was copied? It might be worth contacting Sunderland to ask about that MarQ death as otherwise the only death for a 6 year old Johnson between 1911-1914 was an Amy L in DecQ1911.

The birth of a Stephen R. Johnson was registered in Sunderland in the Dec ¼1911.

Thanks for all your replies.I am still puzzled as to what happened to Steven born 1905 I have him on the 1911 census with the right family and the address is right but then in Sept 1911 StephenR Johnson was born to the family,( that was my father)so it seems strange they give another child the same name, so I just presumed that Steven 1905 could have died and they gave his brother the name. anyway thanks for all the help. i will jiust have to keep looking.....regards Valerie (mackim)
