Thankyou once again for the wealth of information you have supplied. Would that there was someone like you for for all the parishes I look at! I have been able to get a better idea of the Daw family. William Hammonds background remains elusive as does the Hood/Hoad family. They are probably locatedin other Lewes parishes so will keep looking.
A typewritten message is a poor way to convey my thanks but in the absence of alternatives ...thankyou!

hi Julia

As well as St John Sub Castro I also transcribed the tombstones in South Malling, All Saints and Southover - all in Lewes and have a photograph of same.  Together with this I also transcribed the Burial Registers only for the same churches.  Later on today will check those data bases to see if I can throw any further light on your ancestral search.

That will then narrow your search down to the remaining churches in Lewes of of St Annes without (without the castle walls) and St Michaels the Roman Catholic Church
