Father James Johnstone  Occ Warehouse man   Mother Frances

Bapt 3 Jan 1906 St Clements Salford.

Abode 35 Belfort Street Salford

William Johnstone b 1904 Salford

Robert Johnstone b 1903  Salford

1901 Census Index living in Salford could this be a possibilty

Robert Johnstone 53, Iron Moulder b. Scotland
Dorothy wife         48                       b. Scotland
William  son           28 Hydraulic Cloth Packer b. Scotland
James    son           24 Warehouseman Cloth Stamper b. Barrow
Agnes    dtr            20 Indian Rubber Packing Maker  b. Barrow
Robert   son            12   b. Salford.

perhaps someone with A...y could lookup the address

1881 Census They were living in Barrow in Furness with the addition of John W who was 2 years old. plus two boarders

Marriage of James to to Frances Robinson St Clemets Salford June Qtr 1905.

Hi Ecclescake

My uncle by marriage is a Johnstone & I have had a little look at his ancestors as there was a possible earlier cross-connection with mine (& my aunt's) family.

Uncle's father was Robert Johnstone, who according to his marriage certificate from 1925 was born in 1903.  His father was also Robert Johnstone & in 1911 they were living in Hulme.
