Hi Trish!
acording to a newspaper clipping I saw from Nov 1875, Owen Clegg may have been working for the A.A. Company in Warrah, NSW (nr Tamworth?).
There is a record of an Owen Clegg playing in the annual A.A Company 'washers' versus 'shearers' cricket match - amazing!
No proof it's 'my' guy who moved to NSW in 1873, but it has potential as he worked in the wool/textile trade in England.
Plus he was an Englishman on the losing side of a cricket match in Australia... that's a dead giveaway there!

Hope all is well....kindest regards
Darren
