Hello,
I have just come across this thread. I am trying to attach information to some family 'treasures' in case future generations might be interested in their significance. Today, I was working on my father's cousin, James Fletcher MacLeod, who was lost at sea during WWII in 1943. He drew a sketch of his grandparents in his youth.
James was the son of John MacLeod who was born about 1882 in Duirinish to Donald MacLeod, a fisherman who died before 1911, and Mary MacNeill, I believe. John was a policeman in Paisley. I would be interested to hear from anyone who is connected to Donald MacLeod or his family.
