???  Bit confused now, the one i want is ann (daughter of Samuel & Jane Learoyd)  but she appears on both.

so is she buried in st pauls or Hirst wood, i assume the burial is at hirst wood and the st pauls bit is the parish.

Can i be cheeky and ask you to check if any f the learoys family are in that cemetery?

where did you get the disc, is it bradford FHS  might be worth me getting one myself if theres quite a few on there

Hi her husband was Joseph Riddiough/Reddiough.  He was born 1826ish in Colne.  He is Listed on Her death Certificate as a Fence Waller (so dry stone Waller)  on his marriage cert he is a stone mason.

I have him on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census records with Ann, but after her death I've hit a brick wall.  the last one (the 1861 census)  They are Living in New York Shipley, Ann's parents live a few streets away (in Atkinson street)

The census was taken in the April and she died in the may, her place or death is listed as Ives Yard  ??? cause of death phthisis (TB), after that i have nothing of Joseph, its took me 3 years to find Ann as you can imagine the spelling of the name varies from census to census.    I have the 1871 census for there children, William & Mary Jane who have by then both married.

I know from the marriage cert of Ann & Joseph his father was called John, and also one of the witnesses is called Daniel riddiough, but what his connection is i don't know.  I have not found Joseph on the 1841 census either.
any help appreciated.

Hi Julie
Think what you need to find is Josephs death.
Put a post on to see if anybody has the National burial index.
At least then you will know when he may have died.
I have had a quick look on some of sites I use but come up with nothing.
