Hi Carol.
I am looking for information from period for John Lawlor.
He was my maternal grandfather and remains a mystery man.
We only know that he was in the army and may have served in Ireland during the war of independance 1918 1921,he may have met my gran during this period
and decided to stay on.
As i can not find a marriage cert for them i am finding it difficult to go any
further in my searh for John.
Regards
Jim.

Hi Carol
Thanks again for your help in my quest.
John Lawlor married Mary Teresa Magee or Mc Gee all the children were baptised
in Francis st church in Dublin, however no marriage record can be found from 1919 to1924.
There may be a suggestion that they married in England.
The children are all named Lawlor and this suggests that they were married.
Regards.
Jim.

There are 28 marriages for 'John Lawlor' in Co. Dublin 1910-1929. Have they all been ruled out?

Index to civil registrations is online (free)-
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=collectionDetails

Put in only first and last name in search boxes and then when results appear use links towards upper left side of page to narrow down results (place=Dublin, for dates click 1910-1919 + 1920-1929).
