Thomas Cook
« on: Thursday 25 February 10 18:09 GMT (UK) »
Could someone please look up the parish registers for Welton le Marsh for me.  I am seeking confirmation of a baptism for Thomas Cook born in 1815. His parents are Robert Cook and Elizabeth (Coupland).  I believe he is their eldest child.  They were married at Welton on 220 June 1814
thank you

Whilst there are a variety of other children of Robert and Elizabeth Cook christened in the years after 1815 in Welton le Marsh, I can't see a Thomas Cook ch. in 1815 that would fit.  The first child of Robert and Elizabeth that shows is christened in 1816.
IGI only have 2 Thomas Cooks being christened in 1815 in Lincolnshire and those are to a William and Elizabeth and the other to just an Elizabeth Cook.

Note to lookers-up ... there is this thread in "another place" http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/localities.britisles.england.lin.general/1912.3.1/mb.ashx

Here is the marriage - with witnesses http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/SearchResults.pl?RecordType=Marriages&RecordID=1611157

Note- I think the father's name given as Hardman HILLS is wrong - Hurdman WELLS married twice at Anderby, the second time to Sabina's mother.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
