Parish Records Earl Shilton - Colver

My Great Great Grandad is Jabez Colver born cMay 1844.  I believe his mother was Ann Colver born c1815 but i've not been able to trace her on census and in 1861 Jabez appears to be living with Uncles Jospeh and Henry in Hinckley .

I'd like to trace Ann Colver and her family  - no trace of husband or marraige so far.

Parents understood to be Richard Colver born c1786 and Sarah born c1787
Richards parents Joseph no birth date, possibly married c1770

Understood to be from Earl Shilton

Also on FreeBMD; possible birth registration for Jabez.  Copy of the cert will show name of mother.

Hi - my notes have Ann as the daughter of Richard and Sarah but the only source for this is Phil Cover, a contact I've made in my research.  I have details on Richard's family going back a few generations which you can find here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=mactabby&id=I1394

I have also failed in the past to find any record of Ann in the census.  The Colver name is the most frequently mis-spelled in all of my tree, and thus a pain for census research!

There's no burial record for Ann, but there are 4 other Ann Colvers who were infants in the area at the time who could also potentially match the BMD record and for whom I have no other details as to whether they survived, married etc.

If you did pull the certificate it would be great to have a confirmation of what's on it.

Have you ruled this out?
Or is she someone else in your Tree?
