St Albans church records
« on: Tuesday 23 February 10 15:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello every one ,I was looking in North Shields library last week for a marriage of Thomas Riddle to Mary Potts, they were married in St Albans Earsdon possibly 28Th March 1784, I could only find the banns on the fiche and not the actual marriage, does any one know if there are any marriage records I could view any where myself ,I would like to confirm the marriage and look for details of their parents,
I did find a son baptised in 1795 it states child of Thomas and Mary Riddle sailor of the Dairy Houses,
I am getting closer ,but not quite there yet,
Thank you Gillian,

Take a look at the Durham Bishops Transcripts http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=waypoint;s=waypointsOnly;c=1309819;w=0
Select Northumberland, then Earsdon.
Enter 84 in the box marked 'image' and press the return key.
You should be able to see the marriage there.
Sadly, the only extra information here, apart from their names, is that they were both 'of this Parish'.

Wow!  I can't believe I have missed these teanscripts online!  Thanks for the link - I was planning a library visit this week to look through just this and now can do it on my laptop.  Thank-you!
Going back to trawl through more . . . may be a while :)
