Hi,
Adding small info about the ww1 war record which may well belong to GRANVILLE.

We see that as NOK father ROBERT has an address of MONTELLA, BURNIE TAS.

Headstones at Wivenhoe Cemetery Burnie.
ROBERT REDVEAR WILLIAMS d. 1969, aged 69
ROBERT HENRY WILLIAMS d. 1931 at 68

So it appeaars they were in the Burnie area.

Hi there,

Amy Williams = James Patrick O'Brien

1943, Vic, Sth Yarra
Amy O'Brien, 13 Davis St, home duties
James Patrick O'Brien, 13 Davis St, malster (from memory this would be associated with brewery,)

1949, both same as 1943, but James occupation now "bio chemist"

Could not find either Amy or James in 1954 in that same district.

Cheers,  JM

Hi Hoody

Yes I knew Edith very well she was my Great Aunt.
The French family in Tasmania goes back to Francis and Ann French who left England with their children early 1820s
Francis was one of first preachers in Launceston

If you have a Tas. connection I can look for him in the book  "Go ....be fruitful and multiply"

cheers
