Have you tried searching at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyGloucester_(N-Z).htm#P ? for earlier years.

I do not have time to search the censuses - an LDS FHC search appointment calling!

Regards

Chas

Hi There,
I contacted you years ago about this family - John is my great x 4 grandfather and I am descended from Daniel (John's son from second marriage). You and I have done identical research back to Emmanuel in Bisley, then Painswick, Rodborough, Stroud etc. I think I had alerted you to the fact that John had married twice which solved a lot of research problems. I have searched through all the appropriate films for John's birth but unfortunately there are some big gaps in the films and I don't think we will be able to verify his birth. Have you seen my post on rootschat for the Rodborough Overseers? I was very fortunate in getting lots of help from this forum on that topic. I'm going to start a new thread on our family and our connection to woollen mills.
Deb (Sydney, Australia)
