Thanks Lee,

I am looking for Christiana Morris died 2nd April 1873 at Lee Lane Horwich, aged 51 years.

Her husband was called William Morris.

1881 census states his address as 2 Hope Street.

Hi KR,

Most likely place of burial is Lee Chapel (Lee Lane Congregational Church) which was sold to developers and the graveyard has been demolished.   I have a list of all the gravestones from here and there are no Morris's at all.   They could be still be buried there and Bolton Archives have the records.  Let me know if you would like me to look for you next time I'm in Bolton.

Ridgemont Cemetery did not open until 1928.

Regards, Tipps

Hi KR,

I found Christiana Morris was buried at Holy Trinity (Horwich Parish Church) on 6th April 1873.  Unfortunately the grave register does not go back this far, so we don't know who she is buried with.  I did find some William's but didn't have enough info to ascertain which one.  I don't have the gravestones from this church so don't know if they have a headstone or not.  If I find one I'll let you know.

Hi Tipps,

Can I ask another favour.

I think William Morris died June quarter 1893 Bolton aged 70.

If you have time in the future months would it be possible for you to look for his burial at Holy Trinity.

KR :)
