I think the fact that a few children have the middle name of Clarkson that Mary Clarkson is an easy choice to go with  ;D

It just seems odd that we have Gills marrying Clarksons, for two generations. i.e. Ann and Mary.

Hi,
I am checking now.
The details are:

Jonathon Gill married Mary Clarkson on the 8/12/1788 at Kildwick - he was a husbandman of Silsden

Jonathon Gill married Mary Fortune on the 15/12/1815 at Kildwick - he was a nailmaker of Silsden

Now the baptism for James Gill that fitted his birthdate states he was baptised on the 3/1/1792, parents - Jonathon and Mary  of Silsden (Jonathon listed just as a labourer)

It cannot be Jonathon and Mary Fortune as they were married 23 years after his baptism.

Any thoughts welcome and happy to do more checks if you want.
