Thank you so much for those photos. I can see what you mean by that they are hard to read

Hi,

Octavious England was my gt gt gt gt grandfather.
Bertram (my gt grandfather), son of Augustus, son of William, son of Octavious.

I've been working too hard so far this year and have neglected my family history, so you can imagine my delight at finding all of this new thread had been going on while I was absent!!

Let me know if I can provide you with any additional info from this side of the family.

H

Hi Tess123,
If you are who I think you are, we corresponded briefly on the ENGLAND family back in 2007 and you sent me a copy of the will of Augustus ENGLAND. If so, hello again. Since then I have moved to Canada but I am still keen on family history.

Thanks Newbe! It never ceases to amaze me that long dead and distant relatives can bring people together from all around the world.

Hi John, yes I am who you think I am (which sounds far more mysterious and exciting than it actually is!). Glad to hear retirement is keeping you busy and that you are still plugging away at that family history.

Those photo's and inscriptions of the graves were wonderful weren't they. I keep promising myself one day I'll go to Harlestone myself.

take care,
H
