Hi newbe/KHP  :).

I managed to go to Harlestone today and then it poured.  :) :) :)

Saying that I did mange to take about 200+ graves, now I need to
sort them out.  :)

The Church Warden came along and asked if I wanted to go into
the Church, which I did so I could get a picture of the Font, and
she told me that the organ was donated by the ENGLAND family
which had just been restored.

I will need a while to work out the other family members.

Be in touch.

Hi Sandy,
Good to hear from you. I am now settled in Canada after taking early retirement in 2008. Weather here is very mild - no snow this winter (down here at sea level) and daffodils are in bloom.
Hi Newbe,
Good to hear from you again too after our BUCKBY correspondence a year or two ago.
I have had a look in my ENGLAND file and I have no photographs or transcriptions of gravestones at Harlestone. I seem to remember visiting the churchyard  there about 20 years ago and being disappointed not to find any ENGLAND gravestones.
I do have some transcriptions of ENGLAND gravestones at Overstone but they are for a more distant branch of the family (ENGLAND sheets 22 and 26 on my website). Let me know if you would like the details.
John

Just take your time Sandy and thanks John for your help as well.

I will PM you my email address so you can send me a copy of the England Line from Ann Buckby and her husband.

Thanks for all your help

Well I have looked through 360 graves and there are
only a couple readable ones for YORK.

One is HARRIS YORK born to John and Mary M on the 1881 Census
and his wife Gertrude Alice York.

Other is for John York possible son of William York and Elizabeth
on the 1881 Census and his wife Ellen Elizabeth.

Not sure newbe these are of use.

Other surnames I looked for were BOSWELL, BUCKBY, HEWITT, OSBOURE, TIBBS.

Maybe when I can do the other half of the Churchyard it may have
better results.

Here is a picture of the Font that the families would have
had their children baptised in.
